100 words: A little boy

Although the clocks moved back we slept in yesterday. I’ve been told that there will be snow this weekend but nonetheless the big white flakes falling from the sky took me by surprise when I passed the kitchen window, still half asleep.

“It’s snowing hun“ I said and he literally jumped out of the bed, with sparkles in his eyes; he transformed into a little boy for a short moment.

I caught him staring through the window several times during the day and each time I saw that little boy in him, happy and enthusiastic as only children can be.

100 words: Mislead

When I look through the window I see a bright, sunny day; it seems as if spring has arrived a bit early. I want to go to a park, sit under a tree and read a good book.

When I walk out through the front door I realise that my eyes have deceived me; the cold slaps my face and the image of a warm day fades away as quickly as it came to me in the first place.

I guess I’m not lucky enough and I’ll have to wait for those warm, bright and beautiful days a bit longer.

100 words: Fooled

I am craving spring; this winter was far too long and way too cold.

I am craving spring because it makes me happier with nicer and less gloomy days.

I can't wait for trees to turn green and for blooming buds on the tree branches. I can’t wait for longer and warmer days and lazy afternoon coffees with my friends after classes. I am craving after light spring outfits because I am tired of heaviness of layers of clothes.

Two weeks ago I thought the spring was already here but I was wrong; two beautiful and warm days fooled me.

100 words: Winter dance

I look outside and I see the little white flakes falling down from the sky. They are really little and they are dancing in the air. Their dance from the clouds is magical.

I go on the balcony and stretch out my hand. A couple of little flakes lands on my palm and they melt immediately.

I look up in the sky and admire the work of the nature and this wonderful winter dance amuses me.

With the little white flakes comes the cold so I go back inside and watch this beautiful dance from the warmth of my apartment.
