100 words: Mislead

When I look through the window I see a bright, sunny day; it seems as if spring has arrived a bit early. I want to go to a park, sit under a tree and read a good book.

When I walk out through the front door I realise that my eyes have deceived me; the cold slaps my face and the image of a warm day fades away as quickly as it came to me in the first place.

I guess I’m not lucky enough and I’ll have to wait for those warm, bright and beautiful days a bit longer.

  1. That's exactly how it's been here.
It's sunny, the sky is blue and then I look at the thermometer and it's 5 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Haha, that happens to us all the time. 'Doesnt that sky look lovely and blue; let's go for a walk.' 5 minutes later we wonder why we bothered because it soooo cold at this time year. Lovely seasonal post.

  5. Ha, this one made me laugh. Because anyone that lives or has lived where it gets cold has had this happen at least once.
    Enjoyed the post!
