100 words: Mislead

When I look through the window I see a bright, sunny day; it seems as if spring has arrived a bit early. I want to go to a park, sit under a tree and read a good book.

When I walk out through the front door I realise that my eyes have deceived me; the cold slaps my face and the image of a warm day fades away as quickly as it came to me in the first place.

I guess I’m not lucky enough and I’ll have to wait for those warm, bright and beautiful days a bit longer.

  1. That's exactly how it's been here.
It's sunny, the sky is blue and then I look at the thermometer and it's 5 degrees Fahrenheit.

  5. Ha, this one made me laugh. Because anyone that lives or has lived where it gets cold has had this happen at least once.
